It’s time to register for the Mary Kay 5K now if you want to participate. It’s all going down at Ellison High School here in Killeen on Saturday, Sept. 28, and it will run from 8:30 to 11 a.m. If you buy your ticket now, it will cost $25. However, if you decide to wait until Sept. 25 or after, the price will go up; therefore, it’s in your best interest to make plans for this event as soon as possible.
Fight Cancer and Domestic Violence
Mary Kay is hosting this event to help the women who need it the most. Part of the proceeds will go toward organizations that fight women-specific cancers. Cancer has touched almost everyone, so you’ll likely find that this is a cause you want to support. However, that’s not all. A portion of the money will also go to survivors of domestic violence. These women need a lot of support to get back on their feet, and the organizers of this event want to be sure that they can help.
