For many children, meeting Santa Claus is one of the most magical Christmas moments, and you can bring your family to see him in Belton this holiday season.
When and Where
Santa Claus will be greeting viewers of The Polar Express at the Beltonian Theatre from December 20 through December 23. He will be there from noon to 5 p.m. each day, and you can bring your kids to see him with no additional charge added to the price of your movie ticket. The Beltonian Theatre is located at 219 E Central Avenue, Belton, Texas 76513.
See St. Nick
The children in The Polar Express had to travel to the North Pole to see Santa, but when you purchase a ticket to watch the movie, you can pay a visit to the jolly old elf himself while you’re at the Beltonian. Santa Claus is particularly busy this time of year, but he will be happy to listen to the wishes of his young guests as they tell him what they want for Christmas.
Letters to Santa
If your family can’t make it out to the theater while Santa’s there in person, don’t worry! The Beltonian will be collecting letters to Santa Claus from now until December 24. At each movie screening, the staff will provide paper and pencils so that children can write their own letters to send out via a special mailbox.
All Aboard
The Beltonian Theatre will screen The Polar Express from December 19 through Christmas Day. This computer-animated film follows the adventure of a midnight locomotive bound for the North Pole. The story centers on a group of children, including an optimistic girl, a know-it-all, and a boy who’s starting to doubt the existence of old St. Nick. In addition to its uplifting story and charm, the movie is celebrated as the world’s first fully digital motion-capture film. To grant the characters their lifelike movement, actors donned special gear to record their every gesture. The film’s motion-capture performers include Tom Hanks for multiple roles as well as singer Tinashe, who was just 9 years old at the time.
