The 2016 Toyota Mirai Will Change the Auto Game

2016 Toyota Mirai Texas

2016 Toyota Mirai TexasEveryone always talks about the future of energy, specifically fuel, and it seems as if hydrogen may truly be the answer. There are still a limited number of hydrogen vehicles on the market, and most of them are still in the testing phase. The 2016 Toyota Mirai will aim to change the entire auto game by offering drivers a fuel cell vehicle with a longer range and impressive abilities.

Range and Power

It is true that there are other hydrogen-powered vehicles available if you are lucky enough to know where to find them. The Mirai stands out from these with its incredible range. All other vehicles go 300 miles or less on a single charge, but the Toyota Mirai will be able to go 312 miles. This impressive range includes an EPA-estimated 67 MPGe combined* and helps give drivers peace of mind by showing the advances that are being made and ensuring they won’t be stranded without fuel.

There is no concern about safety in the Toyota Mirai, as engineers took every possible step to prevent leakage. If a leak does somehow occur, it will easily and quickly dissipate into the atmosphere, where it will be dispersed harmlessly with no damage to anyone or anything.

Unfortunately, Texas drivers are going to have to wait a bit longer to get behind the wheel of the Mirai. It will launch in October and the ordering process began in July, but only for those who live in California, where the H2 pumps are already in place. The Mirai will, however, be available to buy or lease depending on your preference.

Unless you are planning a trip to California, you will have to wait to drive the Mirai. In the meantime, the team at Toyota of Killeen can help you select among the numerous hybrid Toyota vehicles so you can do your part when driving around Killeen, Texas.
