Trucks are supreme in Texas. It’s only fitting that Toyota’s most American vehicle has reached one million produced and it’s all thanks to our Toyota plant right here in Texas. Toyota Texas just celebrated the production of the one millionth truck to come off the line. It was a 1794 Edition Tundra.
Toyota has steadily made its climb to the top of the list of America’s favorite truck brands. There’s barely anything foreign about the Toyota Tundra or Tacoma. The Tundra is one of the most American trucks on the road with it being designed in California and produced in Texas. The Tacoma and Tundra V6 and V8 engines are built in Alabama and the transmissions are produced in North Carolina. So when you want to drive American, think Toyota. Employing thousands in Texas and creating a vehicle made for those that will use it, Toyota is succeeding in the truck business.
Toyota Texas began production for the Tundra in 2006 and Tacoma in 2010. Our very own Killeen neighbors consisting of 2,900 workers have helped make sure that quality, durability and reliability are instilled in every truck that comes off the line at the Toyota Texas plant.
Toyota is coming up on its 10 year anniversary for the Tacoma and Tundra. The 1794 Edition Tundra is a tribute to the ranch that the plant is the home to. The ranch was founded in 1794.
There’s a reason that Toyota is creating one of the best trucks in the world, and our San Antonio plant gets a lot of credit. Come see us today at Toyota of Killeen to experience first-hand why the Tundra and Tacoma are beating out the competition like Ford and Chevy. We have a giant inventory of trucks to choose from including the 1974 Edition Tundra.
