Organized races are an incredible way to challenge yourself and give back to worthy causes at the same time. The Miracle Match Race Series in Waco is a beloved tradition that brings runners from all over to compete on the hills of Waco and support Be The Match.

Miracle Match Races
The Miracle Match is known for being the toughest race in Texas because of its Texas-sized hills. This year, due to construction on I-35, there won’t be a marathon, but you’ll still be able to enjoy one of the other eight races offered:
- Challenge of the Phoenix
- Half Marathon – The Captain
- 10K – The Lieutenant
- 5K – The First Responder
- Two-Person Relay
- Firefighter Challenge Relay
- KIDS Marathon
- 1-Mile Fun Run – The Rookie
Support a Great Cause
The Miracle Match benefits Be The Match, which works to connect marrow donors and patients who need a life-saving transfusion. Not only are the proceeds donated to Be The Match, but the organization will also be on site during the race weekend to help participants and supporters register for the National Marrow Donor Registry, which adds them to the list of potential matches.
Joining the registry is simple; it only takes a cheek swab and some light paperwork. If you’re between the ages of 18 and 44, you’re eligible to register to help save lives!

Race Weekend Events
In addition to the races, there’s a full schedule of events during the race weekend including pre-race yoga, a race expo, a kids festival, and a fire truck pull, where you and a team can race to pull a firetruck 50 yards to the finish line. Entry to the fire truck pull is free this year, and you can compete by yourself or with a team of up to 20 coworkers, friends, or family members!
